Itinerary in brief

7 nights Scuba Diving Holiday Bazaruto Archipelago Mozambique - Bazaruto Island Lodge

Day 1 Depart from Jhb Int airport with LAM (flights depart every morning) and fly to Vilanculos in Mozambique. Flight time is approx 2 hours. On arrival at Inhambane you will be met by our representatives and transfer by light aircraft to Bazaruto Island. The rest of the day is free to relax and discuss the diving plans with the PADI dive centre at the lodge.
Day 2 - 6 Scuba Diving in Bazaruto - 2 scuba dives per day (subject to weather conditions)
Day 7 Your last day at Bazaruto Island Lodge to relax before you depart the following morning.
Day 8 The lodge will transfer you directly back to Vilanculos airport for your return flight to Jhb. Flight depart in the afternoon and you will arrive in Jhb approx 16.15

Highlights

Scuba Diving Overview

The best diving months are from April to September. Please note that from September to November, the weather is mostly good but visibility can be reduced due to plankton. If you are an avid diver, then April to August will give the best visibility. December to March is usually when tropical storms occur, especially around February and March.

A fully certified NAUI Diving Course is available at Bazaruto (5-6 days). A Resort Course is also available (1 day).

SHARK DIVING

At Bazaruto there are 2 reefs were there is a good chance of seeing Zambezi Sharks (Bull Sharks) and Black Tail Reef Sharks, however there is no guarantee.
